About Dr. Danika Zivot

Cedars Sinai Medical Group helping primary care medical doctor's Chris Fitzgerald and Colleen Ryan to spearhead a program integrating patients' physical and mental health treatment. Dr. Zivot facilitated solution focused behavior change interventions with hundreds of patients who needed help with smoking cessation, nutrition, physical activity, stress management, and sleep. 

Insight Treatment Programs worked with adolescents and their families who are struggling with drug and alcohol abuse, depression, family issues, behavioral issues, and self-harming behaviors.

Family Service of Burbank worked in the Burbank Unified School District treating numerous adolescents dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, defiance, substance abuse, trauma, concentration, etc.

I am a doctor of Behavioral Health, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and I have an MBA.

I am an  interactive therapist - I don't just sit back and listen! 

I have over 15 years of experience  successfully helping hundreds of adolescents and adults overcome various challenges and achieve their goals. 

I specialize in behavioral health, emotional regulation, health + wellness coaching, and professional and personal growth. I  use compassion and directness as we uncover and break the unhealthy patterns that can keep you stuck, and help you develop the skills and strategies to create a balanced and fulfilling life. I can help you enhance your emotional intelligence and rational perspective, and be more balanced between mind, body, and soul. 

I am also passionate about living a healthy lifestyle through healthy eating, regular exercise, and self reflection.

Insurance
Services may or may not be partly covered by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Danika DOES NOT work directly with any insurance companies, but can provide you with relevant mental health service information that you may submit to your insurance company. Danika cannot guarantee that her services will be covered by your insurance plan.  Prospective and current clients must check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

• Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
• What is my deductible and has it been met?
• How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
• What is the coverage amount per therapy session for an out-of network therapist?

Danika has earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) which focused on organizational management and entrepreneurship. 

Many important elements contributing to the underlying success of a business are also important contributing factors for the success of an individual. If applicable, Danika focuses on implementing effective organizational topics and theories into her client’s treatment approach such as:
